Best driving school in Dubai
There is no talk on the best driving school in Dubai but the most reliable, well-known emirates driving, I will tell you about these.
Also, trust assured that if you are a new driver trying to get a license for the first time it can easily take up to a year and many try to get one.
Not to mention the hundreds and thousands of DHS spent on retests and practice classes.
I think finding the best driving school should not be a concern, but finding the most reliable driving school should be.
Many driving schools simply teach how to drive and that is it, however, anyone who wishes to pass the driving license tests on the first attempt (acquiring a Dubai driving license is notoriously hard) should have the knowledge and understanding of driving a vehicle in Dubai.
For this, it is better if you use
This is a driving school platform where you can go to find the driving school which is most suitable for you.
You can find the most reliable school in Dubai (and across the UAE) via LearnAnyCar that offers driving training, theory classes, and other driving courses according to the standards set by the traffic authorities in the country, so success rate of these partner driving schools is quite good.
A friend of mine who used LearnAnyCar said that she got to choose from multiple driving schools.

I took my license in EDI (Emirates Driving Institute) back in 2014 and got it from the first try with no previous driving experience.
They might be a little more expensive (5,600AED) was my price for the full course. I don’t know about their prices now.
In my opinion, Emirates Driving School is the best. But there is no big difference among # 2 or 3.
Galadari, Bel Hasa, etc are equally good. I would suggest you select a school which has a convenient location for you.
Another tip is that you should practice in the area where Inspector will conduct a test with you.
You should be familiar with all the roads where the test would be conducted.
In this way, you will only focus on driving on test day.
Furthermore, it would be your luck also on the day of Tests such as how do you perform or deliver on that day & how the examiner is & his mood.

Before I answer your query here are a few tips.
Be well aware that getting a driver’s license is a costly affair.
- It can run up to 10K sometimes.
- Make sure you have that much funds.
- I would suggest you take a month’s leave and take driving classes on a daily basis.
- If you are lucky you can get your DL in 20 days.
- The rest of the leave days go to the home country.
There has always been talking in town about difficulty getting a driver’s license in the UAE.
it is a bit of hassle and quite expensive compared to the other countries,
however, I had applied to the Galadari driving institute and got my license on the first try, I had no prior driving experience. it took me about 2months to get everything sorted out.
it costs around 5000Aed (i had a student discount of about 1000Aed).
A few tips to keep in mind.
Don’t listen to other people complaining about how they failed their exams.
Be confident while you driving with an instructor.
Do not drive to slow or to fast between the speed limits.
The driving instructors are pretty well experienced they would surely know if you are roadworthy.
Anyways, for the prices:
You can check the websites for the following institutes.
Emirates Driving Institute – Best in town, will probably cost you around 7–8k till your first try.
Belhasa Driving Institute – Pretty normal reviews slightly lower in cost.
Dubai Driving Institute
Galadari Driving Institute – Bad reviews (i found it pretty good apart from the long wait in ques and getting late dates for class bookings)
Al Ahli Driving Institute – Heard pretty much bad about it from everywhere. (but again don’t always rely on what people say.)
Just be confident you will get it in no time.

Emirates Driving Institute is the best.
It depends if u apply in normal will take a long time and if it is VIP then you will be dealt especially also depends on a number of students in driving school.
Cost also depends on how quick you getting it.
Means if you can get in the first attempt it will cost you 4 to 5 thousand if you getting failed every time you need to take an additional 7 classes and pay again for the road test fee.
It’s not easy to have it if you can’t drive confidently. Wah class is 60 65 AED if you taking special classes then charged are more per class.
From two months up to a year.
The best way to get your license early is to go for online theory lessons.
Finish them in max two days and book your theory test.
Go for classes, book tests, clear them and viola!
You can ask your company to approach them, in that case, you will get a discount on theory lectures.
I got my license in 2.5 months.
Best and cheapest Dubai driving class
Dubai: Learning to drive and getting a license is definitely not cheap.
They’re some of the biggest expenses new drivers have to contend with, even before they could factor in the cost of the car, registration, insurance, maintenance and traffic fines.
Any aspiring driver in the UAE easily spends Dh4,000 Dh10,000 — sometimes more — on mandatory lessons and repeat tests.
Unlike in many other countries, beginners in Dubai who don’t hold a valid license are required to take at least 40 classes before qualifying for the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) test.
Depending on the driving institution, the first 40 lessons, including a host of training and test fees.
You can set a beginner back Dh2,000 to Dh5,000 at the first attempt, and the bill is several thousand more if they keep failing the exam.
Each failed exam means eight more classes, repeat tests, and added expense.
When he tried to secure a license recently, Nap Franco, a Filipino expatriate who works in sales at a car showroom in Dubai, saw his expenses climbed from Dh2,900 to nearly Dh5,000 after failing two RTA exams.
I had set aside a budget for the first 40 lessons, but the succeeding extra classes were unexpected, so I had to find a way to stretch my money.
Because he failed the test on two occasions, Franco logged a total of 56 driving lessons between December 2011 and April this year, before the RTA finally granted him the permit.

Fortunately for him, his training package did not cost as much as in other driving schools, where the first 40 lessons alone would have set him back more than Dh5,000.
Franco’s driving course at Galadari consisted of lectures and behind-the-wheel training.
Prior to the final road test with the RTA, he took an internal preliminary exam where his driving ability and knowledge of traffic laws were evaluated.
He demonstrated how to make a U-turn, park, change lanes and read road signs.
The whole process was meant to simulate RTA’s road test, so he would have an idea of what the final exam would be like.
If you don’t pass the internal test, you won’t be turned over to the RTA for the final exam.
While Franco passed the internal test with a breeze, the RTA exam proved to be a hurdle.
In his first attempt, he was in a car with two other applicants and an RTA examiner sitting in front.
Each applicant would take turns in the driver’s seat. They drove for about 15 to 20 minutes on the highway and around a residential area.
“The examiner would mainly test how alert you are. He would intentionally confuse you, sometimes telling you to do things that you’re not supposed to.
He could be really intimidating, so you need to keep your cool and be alert at the same time.
You’re expected to follow his instructions to the letter and one slight mistake could ruin your chances of getting a license,” he says.
When it was his turn to take the wheels, Franco felt uncomfortable because he was thrust into an unfamiliar location.
He trained in Deira, but the final road test was in Al Qusais.
The surroundings were completely different and it was very easy to lose focus.
Consequently, he committed three major mistakes, including not turning properly and failing to sound the horn at the right time.”
“In my second take, everything was smooth until we drove into a residential area.
I was driving at 38kp/h since the maximum speed limit was 40kp/h. The examiner said I was supposed to drive at exactly 40kp/h.
I pleaded for him to reconsider because 38kp/h was still legally allowed, but he wouldn’t budge” he says.
Consequently, he failed.
“I was completely let down after that and thought about quitting. But several weeks later, I decided to give it another try.
Luckily, I passed. The whole process was really costly and time-consuming, but I guess it was all worth it.
I learned my mistakes and, in some ways, I believe that experience will serve as a strong foundation for me to become a good driver,” he says.
Those who wish to take a license in the UAE will have to register with a driving institute.
For light motor vehicles, students who don’t have any driving license are considered a beginner and thus have to register for mandatory 40 classes that normally last 30 minutes.
They can choose to register for either automatic or manual gear transmission.
Students will have the option to choose either regular weekday classes or shift duty classes, or Friday classes or VIP classes, each is priced differently.
Weekday classes are generally the least expensive.
Training for manual-operated vehicles is also cheaper than automatic, but automatic license holders are not eligible to drive a manual gear vehicle.
The waiting time for classes can take days and 40 classes can last several weeks, so those who prefer the faster route may opt for VIP classes.
The price and training structures may vary from one school to another, but At Emirates Driving Institute, beginners taking weekday classes will pay a total of Dh5,270 for manual and Dh5,470 for automatic.
Those who opt for Friday classes will pay Dh6,270, while VIP training will cost a total of Dh16,070.
The package cost already covers eye tests, RTA admission and learning permit issuance fees, school admission fees, simulator training, lecture fees, assessment test, signal test, mock tests, and certificate and service charges, among others.
These prices are only prior to the first road test. Students will take several internal exams prior to the RTA exam, such as knowledge and parking tests, which will be administered after the 20th class and assessment test, which will be after the 36th class.
The RTA test comes after the 40th class.
If the student fails in the RTA test, he will be required to take eight additional lessons, each costing Dh60 for manual and Dh65 for automatic.
Those who fail the signal and assessment tests will also be required to reappear and pay the test fees accordingly.
